Ramp Heating

Our Ramp Heating Self Regulatory Heating Cable is designed for outdoor application. The cable is specially made to melt ice and snow on ramps, driveways, and sidewalks. The cable regulates its heat output automatically in relation to the ambient temperature. In cold weather, it heats more to melt ice fast. As temperature increases, it cuts back output to conserve energy. The self-regulating function is that you do not require an external thermostat. This leads to a simpler, lower-cost installation and lower operating expenses. Its rugged construction allows it to operate dependably under extreme conditions of usage and harsh weather.

The cable has high-performance materials for withstanding rigorous installation conditions. It has nickel-plated copper bus wires that conduct the current and a specially designed semi-conductive polymer core for heat control. The outer protective jacket is pressure-grouted TPE with tin-plated copper braid reinforcement. The strong construction makes the cable chemical-resistant, moisture-tight, and abrasion-resistant. It is so flexible that it can be cut-to-length at the job site, providing a custom fit to any ramp configuration. The process of installation is simple, so it is also the perfect choice for new construction and retrofit situations as well.

Especially designed for outdoor use, our cable is ideal for preventing ice from forming on concrete ramps and other floors. With an installation temperature of only -20°C (-4°F), it can be installed even in very cold conditions. The cable is kept uniformly hot throughout its length to prevent any cold spots from occurring which cause slips. Also, its 50 mm low bending radius allows for easy installation on irregular or curved surfaces.

Designed to operate at a nominal supply voltage of 230 V, the Ramp Heating Self Regulatory Heating Cable can be used with most standard electric systems. Self-regulating and heavy-duty in construction, the cable is safe and energy efficient for ramp heating.
